Mastering Technical Design & Senior Merchandising

Design & Senior Merchandising

I worked with a French liaison office as a Senior Merchandiser and Designer, where I acted as a bridge between the overseas team and suppliers based in India. My role was to ensure that ideas, requirements, and feedback were clearly communicated so that product development moved smoothly from start to finish.

A large part of my work involved understanding customer requirements, discussing product details with suppliers, and resolving any issues that came up during development. I worked closely with both teams to make sure everyone was aligned on quality expectations, timelines, and product specifications.

I was responsible for managing the complete product development process, starting from design concepts and technical files through to sampling, approvals, production, and final delivery. This gave me a strong understanding of how products are developed and what is needed to turn an idea into a successful finished product.

In addition to product development, I was actively involved in sourcing suitable suppliers, exploring new product opportunities, and negotiating prices to achieve the best balance between quality and cost. I also worked on identifying products that matched the company’s brand direction and market requirements.

This experience helped me build strong skills in communication, supplier management, product development, and problem-solving. Most importantly, it taught me the value of building good relationships with both buyers and suppliers to ensure successful outcomes for everyone involved.
