During my time at Aspiration International, I worked as a Merchandiser and handled product development and order execution for several well-known domestic and international fashion brands. My responsibilities included working closely with buyers, understanding their requirements, and ensuring that products were developed according to their expectations in terms of design, quality, pricing, and delivery timelines.
I regularly communicated with buyers and internal teams to keep projects moving smoothly. From the initial product idea to final production, I was involved in coordinating different stages of development and making sure all requirements were clearly understood and executed.
My role also included developing new styles, coordinating fabric and print sourcing, preparing costings, and supporting the creation of collections based on current market trends and customer preferences. I enjoyed working on new product ideas and finding practical solutions that balanced quality, cost, and commercial appeal.
Alongside product development, I closely monitored bulk production activities and worked with production, sourcing, and quality teams to ensure orders were completed on time. Regular follow-ups with suppliers and internal departments helped maintain consistency in quality and avoid delays.
This experience gave me valuable exposure to different product categories, buyer expectations, and the fast-paced nature of the fashion industry. It also strengthened my skills in communication, coordination, problem-solving, and managing multiple projects at the same time while maintaining a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
